WHITEWATER FALLS

Upper Whitewater Falls is the highest waterfall east of the Rockies, falling 411 feet!  For an excellent view of Whitewater Falls, there is a 1/4 mile walkway to the upper overlook.  The lower overlook with an even better view is at the bottom of a million steps (easier going down than coming up!). The only full views of the falls are from these two overlooks.

The very best part of going to Whitewater Falls is that you
travel through Brevard - where they have white squirrels!
Today, there were a lot of the white squirrels scurrying around.

This is the short, easy pathway to see Whitewater Falls.

 Beautiful views of the mountains.

This is the stairway down to get a closer look at the Falls.
But, viewing it from the top seemed just as good to me.

WHITEWATER FALLS
This is a magnificent waterfall, to say the least.

 Closer up.

I always forget that when I easily climb down 40 million
stairs, I must also climb back up them!
This is a beautiful spot for a nice picnic lunch!
 Fantastic sunset over Asheville, NC
